Fyodor Dostoevskys Notes From the Underground serves as a raw, unfiltered monologue from a nameless narrator, a bitter man living on the fringes of society. Living in isolation in St. Petersburg, the man spends his days overanalyzing his every thought and impulse. He fluctuates between feelings of extreme superiority and intense self-loathing, intentionally sabotaging his own happiness to prove he is free.
